Abstract
I examined and referred to literatures of every generations on the nicknames, causes, herb medications and acupucture treatments of ptosis(ß¾øàù»á÷) And then the results were obtained as follows. 1. The nicknames of ptosis(ß¾øàù»á÷) are hyumok(ÈÞ¸ñ), chimpung(öÕù¦), geompye(Ì¡øÈ), geompisubok(Ì¡ù«á÷ÜÝ), posu(øàá÷) and bigwon(Þ¡Ïæ) which corresponds to blepharoptosis in Western Medicine. 2. The congenital ptosis(ß¾øàù»á÷) is mostly caused by innate disposition(ù¢Ý·Üôðë). The acquired ptosis(ß¾øàù»á÷) is mostly caused by Qi sinking of Tri-energizer(ñéѨù»ùè). And besides this, there are Blood stasis due to Qi stagnancy(ѨôòúìåÜ), invasion of the eyelid by wind(ù¦Þ÷ìýÕ©), Qi and Blood deficiency(ѨúìÜôðë), Phlegm syndrome due to wind(ù¦ÓÃðæÕ©), Wind syndrome due to Yang hypertrophy(åÕùñÔÑù¦) and Stagnation of Liver Qi(ÊÜѨê¦Ì¿). 3. In herb medication of ptosis(ß¾øàù»á÷), Bojungikgitang(ÜÍñéìÌѨ÷·) was used 14 times most and its effects are nourishing the spleen to promote the flow of Qi(ËíÞ¡ìÌѨ) and elevating the YangQi and activation the meridian(ã®åÕüÀÕ©). In the following, Insamyangyeongtang(ìÑ߸å×ç´÷·) was done 6 times and has effects of promoting the Qi and activating the blood(ìÌѨå×úì) and of promoting blood circulation and restoring flow(üÀúì÷×Õ©). The next, Jungyongtang(ïáé»÷·) appeared 5 times and this can expel wind, resolve phlegm and restore flow(Ëäù¦ô¯ÓÃ÷×Õ©). As single herb, Radix glycyrrhizae(Êöõ®) was used 66 times most. Besides this, there are a few herbs used many times like Rhizoma atractylodis macrocephalae(ÛÜõô), Radix angelicae gogantis(Ó×Ïý), Radix ginseng(ìÑ߸). Radix astragali(Ȳ±â) and Rhizoma cimicifugae(ã®Ø«). 4. In acupunture treatment, Chanzhu(ó¼ñÓ) was used 19 times most. Besides this acupoint, there are some points choson frequently like Zusanli(ðëß²×ì), Sanyinjiao(ß²ëæÎß), Yangbai(åÕÛÜ), Taiyang(÷¼åÕ), Tongziliao(ÔÚí ), Jingming(ôçÙ¥), Hegu(ùêÍÛ) and Fengchi(ù¦ò®).
